Rally rantings.

It's already Sunday night now, and I realise (though a little too late) that I practically burned my weekend just rotting in front of the laptop. I mean just doing that. It was a good distraction, in a bad way. I didn't even have my lunch or dinner, and ended up binging on the leftover samosas the aunts made for guests. The cyber world's addictive, I tell you. I blog hop, I watch videos, I watch newly added movies, blog hop some more, then the videos, and then add more movies. (and the vicious cycle just continues until I got tired of it - which wasn't anytime sooner.)Uh yes, I find something to do somehow, when I have nothing better to do nohow

Anyhow, the National Day Rally was on TV, so I got a little excited. No, nothing patriotic about it, really. It's been a personal tradition for me, to watch the rally religiously every year. Yes, the PM's speech is sometimes a tad boring, discussing about current affairs oblivious young Singaporeans wouldn't care a hoot about. (Like making babies for the population, and the CPF craps, not to miss out all the detailed mathematical explanation.) But anyway, I just watch it because well, it seems rather interesting. Besides the occassional dry humour, and little quips, there's something about the rally that have always made me abit rapt watching it.

I don't know why, the thought of the leader of the country talking for hours, standing, while the rest of the auditorium are sitting seems a little paradoxical, no? Plus, there's possibility that them people who are sitting in the audience may or may not be listening to the PM's speech after a good one hour.

That said, I must say, the best bit of this whole rally episode is when Mr Cameraman decides to zoom the lens at the audience for awhile. This is when I usually would catch people in action, nodding their head, trying not to sleep while their heavy eyelashes never seems to help, people closing their eyes, pretending to listen, and also (yes) people digging their nose.

Well, you never know. Digging your nose, "live" on national tv? As that old tv show catchphrase says; "SMILE, YOU'RE ON CANDID CAMERA!". Oh, and PM Lee had a funny way of waving at the last bit, no? Haha. ((:

Alright, I'm done with this rally rantings. I've got school to go to tomorrow. It's the last week, and also first of last four days with them W16J. *sigh*

Cheers?
