FUNdamentally HAPPY.
I think the previous post probably didn't do justice to the orientation. It really wasn't as bad as I made it out to be. Everything was great, except the part where "the question" was asked. For those who are not in the know, while I was at the orientation, having fun, a fellow stranger decided to be friendly with me, which really is a good thing (though, i'm more of an introvert.) At first it was decent normal conversations, and then it started to get boring. No, I was really paying attention, giving polite smiles and all, but then she (stranger) started asking "what course are you in?" (still normal) And then goes the string of boring questions which I pretty much didn't want to discuss, since we are in an orientation
which is supposed to be fun.
and not boring like herThe question goes "which laptop you bought?" "what colour is it?" "which model?" "Which course are you in?" "Why you choose that course?"
And here's the all time classic one: "What are the career aspects of your course?" Gee. Anyhow, I realised she (stranger with boring questions) couldn't stop talking a good 15 minutes later. As you all know, me, being a nice person and all *coughs*, I didn't have the heart to ask her to shut up. So as she turned to talk to another girl, I went run for my life. You can't blame me. I just didn't want to spend the next few hours of the supposed-to-be-fun orientation answering questions like "what you want to be went you grow up?" Pfft.
So yes, the whole point of that three paragraphs is that the orientation was fun, minus her. (stranger with boring questions and couldn't stop talking.) :))
On a much lighter note, I think I'm getting to like the idea of studying in RP. (Especially the many breaks) And all we do everyday is presenting projects. Now, as you would all have known by now, I'm never the best or near hear-able when it comes to presenting. But now, I'm getting the hang of it. It's just that brand new air of confidence, what's with new school and all. (chey!) :))
And oh, Monday's going to be first days for them people. So yes, congrats for surviving the rotting days. :) For the ISO-ians, ISO-ers, and ISO-diots, HAPPY 2nd YEAR korangs! (kirim salam Ah Loh and Ah Liao ehh!) :)) And to those new Bishan-ians who's going to have their first first days, good luck and enjoy yourself and your fun orientation. :) huak huak, I'm in a happy happy mood now.
CHEERS. :))
