The day was dreadingly long.
After five vomitting sessions, doses of pills, one good night sleep, and long dreading breakfast, I'm still half dead. Aghh.
I know I'm on hiatus until tomorrow, but ah, some things just can't wait...
don't feel like blogging for a week.
Today's Culture & Aes. topic is about discrimination, and stereotypes, which is pretty much like ice cream Sundae. Looks nice on the outside, but just typical on the inside, like any other topics, dry and boring. Ah, but it's not that difficult though. I've prior knowledge you see, stereotypes; blondes are dumb, and Indians run around trees chasing each other all day.
For the first time in my whole 6 months in RP, I was finally late coming to school. Of course, it was unintentional. I thought I would just thrust myself back into normal routine of school mode, but no. Today was anything but normal.
Am finally done with all the spring cleaning. Okay, maybe not all. There's still the fan collecting dust, and some mopping to do. Ahh, last minute yes. But since I'm pretty much not in the full mode festive mood, there's no rushing and panicking. I have them family to do all the worrying. Meanwhile, I did my usual Hari Raya eve routine; watch the variety show on tv, while randomly getting distracted by endless Hari Raya text messages greetings, and sending them out to people too.
Be warned, this post is so super random. So if you don't feel like reading one long post of mostly long nothings, which topic is randomly changed every five sentences or so, then ya, don't bother scrolling down.
Today's RJ question:
It's exactly seven more days to Hari Raya and I'm pretty much not in the festive mood. Hopefully, for now, not yet. Usually, during two weeks before it, I'd get all hype up, excited and all. But yes, somehow, this year, it seems a tad solemn, unfestive-ish and revoltingly dreading. I don't care about my ugly new clothes, my non-existent heels, and the little bag. Any hint of Hari Raya mood in the house so far is the seductive aroma of trays of freshly baked cookies. Yes just that.
"..My maiden name is Mandy Brown and I married Timmy Dye. My name is now Mandy Brown Dye. Our marriage announcement in the local paper read BROWN-DYE. I almost named my kids May Dye and Will Dye. My husband wouldn't have it!.."
So the buka date with them Bishanites was abruptly cancelled, and I was a tad disapointed, since I was so looking forward to it. *sigh* But ah, in the words of Jay - "another day perhaps."
