the handcuffed woman made my day.
So today is officially last day of the holiday before I go back to the routine of 9 - 4 school life. So I did all I could to pamper myself silly with the mini entertainments of home. Okay, maybe not quite entertaining,. All I did was the whole day was to re-watch the whole 12 episodes of Japanese drama serial. (the wonders of illegal websites.) That, and watching a drama unfolding right in the heartlands, suburbs of Geylang Haig Road. You know those cop dramas where there's a criminal attempting suicide in rundown flats (which suspiciously are mostly 3-roomed.) and there's a standoff between the cops and the criminal (which is always a dishevelled man, with a knife, chopper, gun or any other weapons dangerous enough to kill), and the whole fuss would just die off when the criminal decide to surrender after much "psychological talk" or he decide to jump down and end his life, as well as the drama. (provided the room flat is coincidently at one of the highest floor.)? Well, in real life, that whole scene is much more than 10 minutes of the film. Now, we were there to watch the drama unfold, and my, was that exciting. Okay, not precisely there there. To be precise, we were at the next block, in a rather awkward position, in the comfort of our kitchen, with heads out of the window, curious with the spectacle of fire engines, ambulances and police cars driving into the carpark.I'm not going to actually write out in detail, the whole scene, making it seems more like a descriptive composition essay for primary school aptly titled "One day in my neighbourhood". Basically, to cut the long story short long post short, a Chinese woman was handcuffed away into a police car. We just reckon it's attempted suicide, since there was no dead body, no gun shot, and some firemen involved. But yes, it was exciting indeed. But uh, it might not seem as exciting reading it all now. But what the heck. A little drama in the neighbourhood would do my monotonous last holiday good, and get me all hype up and high. Because I'm not quite excited for school tomorrow, what with awkward smiles and ice breakers, introducing yourself bits. It's just too uh, not exciting.Cheers?
