Hari Raya is never complete without sparklers (bunga api!) and sparklers is never complete without the boys attempting to make yet another rocket experiment. You see, every year during Hari Raya gatherings, we always ended up buying sparklers when we got bored sitting around. Them kiddos would be really really excited and waving around those mini-fireworks like sticks. We girls would just be waving around those sticks and waiting for the "fire" to die. (As you get older, you would probably get bored waving the same thing for 10 years.) The guys, however, have always been doing their usual stuff - attempting their rocket experiment.

Here's the catch; after more than 10 years, we all know what's going to happen.
But yes, Sunday was one of those rocket-attempting days. And I guess, we should have just wait another 10 years and not waste the money, no?
Oh, and this year's Hari Raya Haji is much much more fun. We had goodie bags for cousins and kiddos and I had fun packing them. And thanks to that, too, I'm sucking lolipop now. :)
So thanks to those who came, and murdered the oh-so-delicious food, and sit around talking random stuff together and play with babies, and being so kecohrable. And rot with me.
I had fun.
CHEERS.
