For the young, and the young at heart.
I'm just back from supper with them family and Kak Hyda's family at Ali Cafe and its burping heaven, as usual. The place was really crowded with people, so our order came like an hour later, which is sucky. But anyhow, when my Fish 'n chips came, and the others haven't got their order yet, I didn't bother wait for them. :) So I gorge myself silly, and indulge myself in the sinful pleasure.
One of my resolutions for the new year is eat less fast food-ish foods, and have a little more rice and decent meals. But yes, like rules, resolutions are mend to be broken, no? :)
After the meal, them people just have a little chit-chat while I have another drink of Coke, all by myself. I was hanging out with them makciks and pakciks because I didn't want to go home too early. They talked about random stuff, from construction to holidays to gatherings to house hunt to spirits.
I was only interested in the spirits part, and it was so super interesting, but I'm not going to talk about it. Just.
Oh, and of course, there were so many characters going in and out of the cafe. There's some tv people we saw, but not really star struck - worthy. Then the people from KL, which we were confident they are, just by the way they were dressed. :) And then, there's these colourful people. All of them were
old ageing, but were wearing all these glamourous clothes. There's the Hot in Pink woman who was just back from weddings. (I know that because she was practically announcing that to the whole cafe.) And the Golden Couple (who was wearing gold, and I mean
very bright gold). Me being me, I couldn't help but pass a comment
" There's something very bright here, and it's not the light." Pfft. :) Anyhow, I guess they were from karaoke-ing at TK. ( they always have this 80s karaoke thing going on once in awhile at TK, you see.) They should be. Oh, and there's the Makciks on Motor. Or should I say "minah rugged" - that's what they call themsleves. Not that it suit them well. I mean, Minah rugged? No. Makcik rugged? Maybe.
Anyhow, when we were leaving, there were still many characters coming in. You realise I'm calling people characters because I guess that's what they are. Interesting characters you won't find anywhere else, but here. Women on motorbikes in the middle of the night, and people with ostentatious clothes going karaoke competitions.
Like that new reality show coming on tv. What is that they say?
For the young, and the young at heart. (Right.)
